Being a wedding photographer definitely has its perks. Not only do we get to witness two souls coming together as one, but we also get the luxury of capturing the moment itself. (And of course the moments that follow!) So many things made Kirsten and Josh’s wedding day special, but what made it special for us was that this time, it was our friends who were getting married!
There were laughs throughout the whole day, as both Kirsten and Josh have that kind of humor that will make you throw your head back in laughter. The guys actually decided that they wanted a prom-like photo together, and yes—it looked as hilariously awkward as it sounds!
Kirsten had her grandma do her hair, and had a patch of her grandpa’s shirt sewn into her dress. Josh had a picture of his grandpa pinned on the inside of his jacket. Just when you think that it couldn’t get any more sentimental, K’s brother officiated…which we thought was just awesome!
Her dad had a photo booth, which resulted in some interesting and funny photo ops with the bride and groom. (I may or may not have worn a horse head…)
It was a very cold day at Sowell Farms, but it was a beautiful wedding from start to finish!
